Autism is a lifelong neurological difference in brain development that affects 1% of the population in the UK. Autism affects the way a person communicates and how they experience the world around them. It is a spectrum condition, which means that it affects people in different ways.
Given the right support,
young people with autism can, and do, thrive and succeed. Early intervention,
education and support are critical in enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.
If you would like to know more about autism and how can you be more
understanding to those people who find our world a totally confusing place,
please drop into the Brook Centre.
